My Blog List

Time for an update.

I can't believe it has been 12 months since I last posted a blog report.

In August last year I mentioned that I was adding to my collection and this is still happening.

I have to stop as I don't have any more space (vacant roads) to store them. I need to shunt trains around in order to allow me to run a train. All my locos are DCC and sound, Although I said some time ago I would not go DCC for the single line layout, I just like the sound. The 50 class I bought from Eureka, I got back from modification in time for Christmas 2024 (only took 4 months). It had the QSI removed and ESU fitted with the modified lights and sound and runs really well now. During the week I tried to run the 41 class with 10 "S's", 10 "K's", 3 ABV's and a SHG Brake Van only to experience that on the Hume Highway curve the S's & "K's" fell of the track trying to take a short cut. The SHG is loaded with weight and had too much drag on the small wagons.

As I said not much has happened in my layoff time, but I'm still with it.
Cheers for now.
